Crawler Caddy

"Too nice for worms!"

WHY CRAWLER CADDY?
Ever tire of trying to come up with a good worm container, a bait box if you will, one that will keep your night crawlers lively yet be ruggedly built and long lasting? If you fish with worms, a real 'must have' is a dependable fishing worm bait box.

Of all the methods there are to catch a fish, the one that outdistances all the others, hands down, is the old fashioned worm on a hook. No other bait catches a wider variety of fish... and BIG ones, too... than a fat old sassy night crawler.

A good fishing trip, then, means having a plentiful supply of worms handy. And there's the problem! Earthworms are fragile. They have to stay cool all the time. If the temperature creeps up to about 60 degrees F and beyond, they'll die in a hurry. So, what kind of a container do you keep them in? Well, I've used everything from coffee cans to mop buckets to plastic foam cups to cardboard boxes. Sure, all these alternatives work for awhile. But, inevitably, the worms are either spilled, cooked, or escape without your notice. I looked high and low for a good bait box, one that was rugged and dependable and that protected the worms to the max. In short, there aren't any! So, I made my own ... the Crawler Caddy was born.

WHY WOOD?
One doesn't usually think of fishing as a 'contact sport.' But just walking along the river bank or lakeshore or getting in and out of a boat gives ample opportunity to smack your worm container against something that's sure to either break it or dump the worms. Ruggedly built, the Crawler Caddy can take just about all the bumps and whacks that come its way. It even serves as a handy stool for your favorite fishin' buddy to sit on while he's waiting for the big one to come along. All the while it keeps on doing its job ... keeping your night crawlers cool, safe, and readily available when it's time to put another one on your hook. And, it looks great, too!!

WHY CEDAR?
A Crawler Caddy can actually be made of any type of wood. Cedar, though, is known for its resistance to decay. And if you put your Crawler Caddy through its paces, you can be sure it will have plenty of opportunity to decay. Just clean it out at the end of the season (See: Crawler Caddy Tips and Care) and let it dry. You'll have many years of use in store for your Crawler Caddy. In addition, cedar is a light weight wood. Of course you want your bait box to be sturdy and strong while it keeps and protects your night crawler supply on your fishing trip. But at the same time, you don't want to be carrying around a boat anchor either.

The Crawler Caddy combines the best of all worlds ... tough, rugged, and durable, light weight, and good looking. Order one today! It will be the last bait box you will ever have to buy.
